Xiaomi has started the Redmi Note 12 series in India following the trio’s introduction last week. As perhaps could be expected, there is a gulf in price between the models, with the Redmi Note 12 approximately 60% the price of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. Xiaomi is also offering introductory discounts across all SKUs, as are retailers like Amazon and Flipkart.
To recap, the Redmi Note 12 is one of the first smartphones to use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, a 6 nm SoC with eight CPU cores and an Adreno 619 GPU also found in the Snapdragon 750G. Additionally, the Redmi Note 12 has a 6.67-inch OLED display, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 48 MP primary camera. Please see our Redmi Note 12 launch article for more details about the smartphone. Similarly, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus has a 200 MP primary camera with 4x the pixels of the equivalent in the Redmi Note 12 Pro.
