Oppo Find X6 Pro leaks as first teaser arrives

After the launch of the Find N2 Flip last month, Oppo is now on its way to the launch of its next flagship, the Oppo Find X6 Pro. In recent days, new leaks and teasers help give a clear picture of what’s to come.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro has been leaked before, and an early version of the phone has revealed an absolute camera punch. But now, a new picture has been released The universe of ice offers a look at newer hardware that still has a very large but now round camera bump. It’s possible that the previous leak was an early prototype or just another phone altogether.

Either way, the huge camera module on the Oppo Find X6 Pro certainly has the Oppo flair, with two main cameras as well as a third telephoto lens. It’s in line with the setup on the Find X5 Pro, though it looks like the physical sensors are bigger this time around based on spacing alone. The triple camera setup is rumored to include Sony’s IMX989 as the primary sensor and two IMX890 sensors for ultra-wide and telephoto. The IMX989 is Sony’s 1-inch sensor that has been used in several smartphones recently. The hardware also features optimizations for Oppo’s MariSilicon chip and Hasselblad software, which together should surely prove to be a powerhouse of smartphone photography.

Meanwhile, in China, Oppo has released a teaser for the Find X6 Pro (via GizmoChina). The teaser doesn’t reveal anything that specific, but a March date is suggested, which means the Oppo Find X6 series could make its debut in a few weeks. Apparently there are rumors that the release date could be March 21st.

That teaser is too apparently on display in some retail stores.

There might be a catch though. Where Oppo usually sells its flagship Find devices globally, the Find X6 Pro has been hinted Ice published only in China. It’s unclear if this is just a temporary region lock or if Oppo actually plans to ever sell the device globally.
