Asus typically launches its top-of-the-line Zenfone phones in the third quarter, but it looks like the next Zenfone smartphone will arrive much later this year. If we believe the latest rumors, the upcoming Zenfone 10 will be released sometime in the last quarter of 2023, a few months later than its predecessor, Zenfone 9, which was launched in September.PriceBaba reports that the Zenfone 10 is literally bigger and better than the Zenfone 9. Although it won’t be a monster of a phone ROG Phones, the Zenfone 10 is a significant upgrade for series loyalists and new customers looking for an affordable high-end smartphone.
First, the Zenfone 10 sports a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is a significant upgrade over the Zenfone 9’s 5.9-inch AMOLED display, at least in terms of size.
In terms of hardware, the Zenfone 10 seems to be quite the pack with 16GB of RAM and 256GB / 512GB of internal storage. Of course, we expect different variants based on the amount of memory, so this might just be one of many.
Additionally, the Zenfone 10 is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, another significant upgrade over the Zenfone 9’s 4,300mAh battery. In addition, the phone is said to have a liquid cooling system for heat removal, which is most of the time Asus ROG phone models have by default.
A 200-megapixel main camera might seem a bit excessive, but these high numbers don’t always mean incredibly high image quality. It remains to be seen how good the Zenfone 10’s camera will actually be when the phone comes out later this year.
Finally, the Zenfone 10 ships with Android 13, although Google will have released Android 14 by the time this phone hits the shelves. We doubt this will change, but Android 13 is still good for a phone launching in 2023.
