Newscaster experiences a medical incident as he prepares to issue morning weather forecast
Shocking video captured the moment a US newscaster collapsed on live television on Saturday. Alissa Carlson Schwartz – The CBS Los Angeles weatherman reportedly experienced a medical emergency while preparing to issue his morning weather report, according to reports subway.
In the video circulating online, the 42-year-old woman rolls her eyes to the back of her head before falling forward and landing on the floor. Meanwhile, news anchors Nichelle Medina and Rachel Kim were seen introducing her to viewers in the dark about what was going on in another studio. When they noticed her collapse, they paused for a moment in shock before cutting straight to commercial.

According to TMZ, the show did not return live after the break, but instead aired a pre-recorded episode.
A few hours later, Mike Dello Stritto, vice president and news director for CBS Los Angeles, updated TMZ on her health, saying, “Our colleague Alissa Carlson was sick on the 7am newscast this morning. I want to thank her colleague We took immediate action to comfort Alissa and called 911. Alissa is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. Hopefully we will know more soon. In the meantime, Alissa will be on our minds and we pray that she recovers soon.”
Ms. Schwartz had previously experienced a similar incident in 2014, when she vomited on set during a weather forecast and was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve, according to the outlet.
Meanwhile, many Twitter users expressed their concerns about the news anchor’s health and wished her well. “Scary, horrible,” said one user, while another commented, “I hope she’s ok and getting the best medical care.”
The newscaster later took to Instagram to reassure her viewers that she “will be fine.” “Thanks for all the texts, calls and well wishes,” she said. However, she did not provide any details of what led to the medical incident.
