Former BJP corporate director Seema Savale claimed that the same company was blacklisted by the Maharashtra State Highway Development Corporation. In a letter to Municipal Commissioner Shekar Singh, the former BJP leader said, “On February 23, 2023, the company awarded the Internet cable contract by PCMC was blacklisted by MSRDC for five years. The company was listed was blacklisted because it issued two checks worth Rs. All the details of the action…MSRDC cited significant reasons for blacklisting the company. MSRDC said that although it has not given any permission … the company has installed BTS equipment on the Mahim flyover,” Savale said.
Singh, who is also the CEO of PCSCL, said: “Whenever any complaint or objection is raised, we investigate it. This time, we will also take it seriously.”
PCSCL has laid 600 kilometers of fiber optic network for Internet services. The appointed contractor firm shall represent PCSCL as the “Concessionary”. That means that if anyone has to use the internet service, the company will distribute it and collect revenue on behalf of PCSCL, an official said.
In this way, he said, the company can control the entire city’s mobile and internet networks.
