A widely circulated video filmed in the central Asian country shows what appear to be teenage children reveling in an orgy set in the 1982 Bollywood flick disco dancer.
The undated video was shared online by Twitter user Rez (@JrRezvani). Twitter user wrote: “Bah bah bah! Our Soviet Persian cousins are still rocking it to ‘jimi jimi haja haja’, a Bollywood hit when Brezhnev was a little boy!” .
In the comments, many were admiring a young boy who was particularly immersed in the song. Commenting on the video, one Twitter user wrote, “The girl in yellow is so beautiful, she danced so delicately in the jimmy jimmy dance, and her expression was so cute, but the boy lol stole it with his hilarious expression program.”
Many also shared that they encountered similar situations when the song became popular abroad. “I was in Kyrgyzstan recently and they all greeted me with this song and others from #mithunchakraborty. 🥰”, one Twitter user commented. Another recalled: “I really didn’t know what that song meant. Surprisingly, it was also the most played song in Ulaanbaatar in 2022.”
