Chelsea reach Noni Madueke agreement with PSV Eindhoven

Chelsea have agreed terms with PSV Eindhoven to sign Noni Madueke.

The winger is now expected to travel to London. The fee for Madueke is expected to be around €35million (£30m).

Madueke is a left-footed attacking player who plays on the right side. His arrival would complement Mykhailo Mudryk, who joined Chelsea earlier in the week. Mudryk is likely to play on the left.

Madueke, who was born in Barnet, north London, has starred for PSV since breaking through into their first-team. He has scored 11 goals in 51 league games for the Dutch side.

The 20-year-old is now on the cusp of moving back to England to join the west London side.

Madueke previously represented Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace at youth level before joining PSV on a three-year deal in 2018 and later extending his stay until the summer of 2025.

PSV coach Ruud van Nistelrooy has expressed the Dutch side’s desire to keep Madueke but admitted they may be powerless to stop an exit.

Chelsea have signed five players this month. Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos and David Datro Fofana were early permanent recruits, while Joao Felix arrived on loan until the summer.

Felix initially impressed on his debut at Fulham on Thursday, only to be sent off in a 2-1 defeat.

Chelsea then added Mudryk earlier this week. They are 10th in the Premier League under head coach Graham Potter.
