Without Tyler Wahl, Wisconsin Holds Off Minnesota

MADISON, Wis. — Despite leading 45-30 in the second half, Wisconsin once again had things come down to the wire.

The 14th-ranked Badgers (11-2, 3-0) got some clutch crunch time play by sophomore guard Chucky Hepburnwho not only scored or assisted on the final six points, but also came up with a steal on the last possession to help UW edge Minnesota (6-7, 0-3) 63-60 on Tuesday.

The Badgers picked up their sixth straight win and fifth consecutive victory over the Gophers. Going back to 2014, UW has now taken 14 of the last 16 meetings. The Badgers also haven’t been 3-0 in Big Ten Conference play since 2014-15, the year they reached the national championship game.
