“Hamlin and Busch Better Get the Same..” – NASCAR Fans Smell Bias After Michael McDowell Receives the Brad Keselowski Treatment

While many of us were still taking in and recovering from the shock of a news which was the double disqualification from Pocono, NASCAR delivered yet another home run in terms of penalties. The driver, on the other end this time, was Michael McDowell.

The Front Row Motorsports driver, his crew chief, and his team were recently given the Brad Keselowski Treatment which is to say they were given a penalty that took away 100 owner points, a $100,000 fine, and a four-race suspension for the crew chief.

This was because the #34 car was found to be in violation of Section 14.1 C, D, and Q of the rule book, attracting an instant L2 penalty.

As you’d expect, the fans were mad. Really mad.

Almost all the fans were left scratching their heads as to why the #11 of Hamlin and the #18 of Busch were given just a disqualification, which compared to McDowell’s penalty and considering the resources of JGR and FRM, is nothing.

McDowell, even though, wasn’t in the picture, he nevertheless was optimistic about his chances of doing so.

“One point away from being in that picture. One win away from not needing to be in that picture. Bring on @IMS 🏁,” hey replied.
