Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy clinch

Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, two of the top three golfers in the official World Golf Ranking, are locked in for the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship, which will be held Aug. 11-14 at TPC Southwind in Memphis, will serve as the kickoff of the FedExCup Playoffs for the first time.

In addition to Scheffler and McIlroy, Tony Finau, Cameron Young, Davis Riley and Chad Ramey have qualified for the tournament.

Scheffler, the reigning Masters champion, has four wins on the PGA Tour this season and is ranked No. 1 in the FedExCup standings. He has made four appearances at TPC Southwind, most recently in 2021 (when it was a World Golf Championships event). Scheffler’s best finish at TPC Southwind is 14th, which came last year.
