She is still the sweetest bitch you will ever meet.

More than 10 years after she left the original series, Sammy “Sweetie” Giancola has reunited with her cast mates for a new Jersey Shore: Family Vacation movie, MTV announced Saturday.

The network revealed the news on social media, sharing a photo of the reality star sitting on a chair with a microphone and camera in the frame, seemingly filming a confession.

Giancola, 35, also confirmed the exciting comeback by posting the same photo on her Instagram Stories and Twitter.

Fans were quick to share their thoughts on the reality star’s much-anticipated return on social media, writing things like: ‘I’m going to lose my damn mind!!!!!!!’, ‘OH MY GOD STAHP’ and ‘This is so damn iconic “.

Fans haven’t seen her on the show since she left the original series over 10 years ago.

It’s been more than a decade since “Jersey Shore” fans have seen Giancola appear on the show. She starred in the original series with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Angelina Pivarnik, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Dina Nicole Cortez.

The show ran from 2009 to 2012 until MTV rebooted it in 2018 — without Giancola — as Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Giancola Ortiz-Magro’s ex was previously featured in the new series, but announced he was taking a break in May 2021 due to mental health and legal issues.

The Jersey Shore star’s former relationship with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was heavily documented on the original series.
A burst of news
Ortiz-Magra previously announced that he is taking a break from the show in 2021.

“After speaking with the team at MTV, we mutually agreed that I would be stepping down from the show while I seek medical attention for mental health issues that I have ignored for far too long,” Ortiz-Magra, who celebrated a year of sobriety last August, wrote on his Instagram story at the time.

“My number one goal is now facing my difficulties. This process will be difficult, but my No. 1 priority is to get better and be a better man and a better father to my daughter (Ariana Skye).”

According to some actors, they have wanted Giancola back for years.

“We’ve been trying to get her back, like two years ago, we were all texting her saying, ‘Come over for one lunch.’ Why not?,” Polizzi, 35, explained to E! News in September 2022 “And she’s always like, ‘No, I’m never going on this show again.’ We didn’t want to push it.”

Polizzi added that she “went to message” Giancola again – only to find out that she had allegedly been blocked.

“I don’t know what I did. It’s a shame because we would like her to come back,” she said. “She’s part of the show. I feel like it’s not complete unless we’re all there. It’s sad.”

The reality star also confirmed her comeback via her social media accounts.

Giancola previously wrote on Instagram why she didn’t want to go back on a “family vacation” in March 2018.

“I am currently very happy in all aspects of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations,” she wrote in part at the time, apparently referring to her former relationship with Ortiz-Magra, 37.

“It was a hard decision because I love my roommates. I decided to focus on myself, my future and what really makes me happy.”

“Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” airs Thursdays at 8pm ET on MTV.
