“Jersey Shore” star Sammy Giancola is returning to the show after a decade away

Sam is back.

Jersey Shore star Sammy “Sweetie” Giancola, aka Samantha Giancola, is back on MTV after an 11-year absence.

After the original reality show ended in 2012, the entire Shore crew, including Snooki, The Situation and more, returned to the network for the 2018 revival of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

Giancola was the only one who dropped out of the show.

But on Saturday night, the Twitter account for “Jersey Shore” shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Giancola on set. The show, which is filmed in various cities and vacation spots, is currently in its sixth season.

“She’s still the sweetest f—– you’ll ever meet,” the tweet said, referencing Giancola’s catchphrase in the opening credits of “Jersey Shore.”

Giancola retweeted the post. SallyAnn Salsano, creator of “Jersey Shore,” too.

“I’m dying,” Salsano said, using the hashtags #JSFamilyVacation and #blessed.

Giancola, who grew up in Hazlet and turns 36 on Tuesday, is known to have had a tumultuous relationship with her “Jersey Shore” co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.

Their relationship, which often got loud and rough on screen (and spawned the famous line “Stahp it, Rahnn!”), began during the show’s first season in Seaside Heights in 2009, continued after the show ended in 2012, and ended in 2016 .

“I’m in a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my business and my relationship,” Giancola said in an Instagram post ahead of the 2018 premiere of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.”

“I am currently extremely happy in all aspects of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations,” she said.

Ortiz-Magra, 37, was a member of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.” He left the show in 2021.

In recent seasons, Ortiz-Magra, who has struggled with addiction and depression, has been largely absent except for guest appearances.

He celebrated his year of sobriety in an episode last year by meeting fellow sober cast member Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

Ortiz-Magra left the show to pursue mental health treatment following his 2021 arrest for alleged domestic violence.

What did Giancola do after Jersey Shore?

She owns a boutique called Sweetheart Coast in Ocean City and is an online purveyor of clothing, accessories and home decor at Sweetheart Styles (she models all the fashion herself).

Giancola was previously engaged to Rowan University graduate Christian Biscardi and is currently in a relationship with Justin May, a Rutgers graduate from Toms River who has been her boyfriend since 2021.

Ortiz-Magro has a 4-year-old daughter, Ariana, with his ex, Jen Harley. He was engaged to Safire Matos, but they have since split up.
