Last October, Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared that she was diagnosed with myositis in a moving post. Sharing a picture where she is seen dubbing for her film while an IV bag is connected to her hand, the actress admitted that it has not always been an easy journey. In her detailed 2022 memo, Samantha said: “Your response to Yashoda the trailer was overwhelming. It is this love and connection that I share with all of you that gives me the strength to deal with the seemingly endless challenges that life throws at me. A few months ago I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it went into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I had hoped. I’m slowly realizing that we don’t always have to have a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something I still struggle with. The doctors are confident that I will make a full recovery soon. I have had good days and bad days…physically and emotionally. And even when it feels like I can’t handle another day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I’m one day closer to getting well. I love you … THIS TOO SHALL PASS.”
