Oscars 2023: Deepika Padukone poses in style ahead of Oscar night.(courtesy:
Remember how Deepika Padukone burst onto the big screen with her debut role as a former superstar in About Shanti About? The world stopped to stare and rightly so. Well, over 15 years later, the actress’ Oscars 2023 performance had much the same effect on her colleagues and fans around the world. Deepika Padukone, standing tall and statuesque in a black Louis Vuitton ball gown and Cartier jewelry, introduced Naatu Naatu performance by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava at the 95th Academy Awards. Her brief yet impactful appearance on stage has everyone begging for more. Her Bollywood colleagues too can’t stop gushing about the superstar and her aura (with good reason, we might add). For example, actress Alia Bhatt – who played a central role in the Oscar-winning RRR– has shared a picture of Deepika Padukone from the red carpet and said, “This beauty is making India proud and how,” with heart emojis.
Take a look at Alia Bhatt’s post:

Actress Neha Dhupia, who tagged Deepika Padukone on her Instagram Stories upload, wrote, “Deepika Padukone you force. Your beauty,” with a heart emoji.

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu spoke for us all when she reshared a post featuring Deepika Padukone’s Oscar look and said “Dead” with heart emojis.

Karan Johar stated that Deepika Padukone was “grace personified” at the Oscars and we can’t help but agree.

Deepika Padukone also shared a series of pictures of herself ahead of the ceremony and needless to say, the comments section is flooded with compliments. Actress Neelam Kothari Soni said, “Beautiful,” while singer Vijay Yesudas threw fire and heart emojis.
Responding to another post shared by Deepika Padukone with just the hashtag “Oscars95” as the caption, Alia Bhatt said, “Ufff amazing.” Well, we have to agree with that observation.
Speaking of Oscars, India has bagged two awards at the 95th edition of the prestigious award. While RRR‘s Naatu Naatu won the award for best original song, The Elephant Whisperers won an Oscar in the Best Documentary category. Superstar Deepika Padukone is the third Indian to attend the Oscars as a presenter after Persis Khambatta and Priyanka Chopra. The actress was last seen in pathan, which is currently playing in cinemas worldwide.
