South African rapper Costa Titch died after collapsing on stage twice in quick succession during a performance over the weekend.
Check out this footage of a white-shirted Costa running around the stage with a microphone in hand at the Ultra South Africa gig near Johannesburg on Saturday night — he broke into one of his songs and looked absolutely fine.
The video then cuts to Costa belting out another tune at the end of the concert — where he reaches out to one of his backup singers before collapsing to the floor. He stood up and finished the song, but soon collapsed again.
His team and paramedics tried to resuscitate him, but were unable to save him. His cause of death has not been disclosed.
Costa’s family released a statement thanking first responders … A representative for South African venue Ultra said they were “devastated” by Costa’s death and will remember him “as a talented rapper, dancer, singer, songwriter, colleague and friend.” festival.”
