Quinta Brunson trades school for Studio 8H. The Abbott Elementary creator and star will make her hosting debut Saturday Night Live on April 1st.

The news comes as the April 1 episode threatens to strike. About 20 of the show’s post-production editors, represented by the Motion Picture Editors Guild, have threatened to strike over pay and benefits. As reported by Deadline, while negotiations are ongoing and NBC has promised to resolve the issue by the end of the month, it could cause concerns for the episode.
Brunson’s news was revealed during The Tonight Show Hosted by Jenna Ortega. The Wednesday The star followed Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce and Woody Harrelson as guest hosts.
