FOND DU LAC – The Farmers Market may be over for the year, but downtown Fond du Lac has a brand-new market on its heels.
The Downtown Fond du Lac Winter Market will run 8 am to noon Saturdays inside the former Personal Touch Flowers building, 16 E. Second St., starting Nov. 5. Vendors will sell their produce, plants, flowers and baked goods, as well as arts, crafts and other handmade items.
Much like Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership’s Farmers Market and Night Market, the goal of the Winter Market is to support local farmers and artisans, and to give the community opportunities to get healthy and local food options in the winter months. Local vendors can also use the Winter Market as an incubator if they are interested in growing to a brick and mortar business.
The last Saturday of the market will be Feb. 25, and there will be no market on Nov. 26 or Dec. 24 or 31.
